When a good friend of mine wanted help surprising her stepdaughter with business cards and other supplies for her spa "business," I was more than excited to help. Maddie is in elementary school and one of her hobbies is giving massages and nail treatments. To really start her "business," she needed some business cards, appointment slips and gift certificates.

Ethridge Family Christmas Card

Growing up with just the two of us, my sister and I have always been close. For the past 9 years, she's been living in Missouri and I have been hoping and praying for her and her husband to move back to Minnesota. This past summer, I got my wish and they were both able to move up here. I was really excited to take a few pictures for them and design a Christmas card for their first holiday season in snowy Minnesota.

Family Christmas Card - The Shannons

Besides graphic design, another passion of mine is photography. Needless to say, I was quite excited when I got to play photographer for the day and take pictures of the sweetest family, and good friends of mine, the Shannons.

I never realized how tricky it can be to take photos of a baby. Mira behaved perfectly, she just never wanted to look at the camera! In the end, we got lots of great shots of this adorable family. Here are a few samples of Christmas cards with photos from their shoot. (In case you are wondering, Anka is Croatian and the second line says Merry Christmas in Croatian).
